After he graduated Communication, he found out that he can enrolled in medicine with any undergraduate program. He doesn’t want to sacrifice one of his dream that’s why he thought taking medicine after he discover that he can enroll in it. While taking the medicine he had a very tough adjustment from the communication world to medicine world regardless to language, culture and environment. To the point that he felt that he didn’t belong, but he does not allow that feeling to stop him from becoming a doctor. That’s why he humbled himself and ask for help from friends, partner in life and colleagues that help him adjust and became more better in the field of medicine. “Yes, I humbled myself that’s the way of learning the field that I don’t have knowledge about.”

Dr. Kilimanguru claims that he owes his skills a lot to communication as his program in college that help him developed his confidence and overcome his stage fright. Yes, you read it right that he has stage fright before when he was taking communication, he also wasn’t get many good feedbacks to his professors but he doesn’t see those critics as a bad way because his professors wasn’t intention to bring him down, so instead of overthinking those critics he decided to look it in a good way and used it to made his work much better than before. “From my failure to communication program, I grow there as a content creator that I am right now.”

Fan fact, according to Dr. Kilimanguru he did not intention to become a “Tiktok influencer” the time his creating those videos of him sharing medical factual knowledge to his viewers. He only created and posted videos on tiktok because he was curious about why people are into tiktok that time and he found out that tiktok is an app that can easily access information within a minute of watching videos that most of the people do in the middle of the quarantine because of the pandemic. “Tiktok help me to grow my other social media platform which is Facebook and YouTube, it wasn’t my intention to be the tiktok influencer because my goal was to be a YouTuber! That’s what I want to be, but it’s difficult to achieve because of the standard of YouTube nowadays.”

Being a Content creator and Doctor at the same time that Dr. Kilimanguru he is right now, it took him a lot of effort, time and compassion that made him very passionate about his dream and now he’s giving back to share to his viewers and supporters those lesson that school and life taught him throughout his journey. “The target audience of mine are the people that didn’t usually know about the science and those who are willing to learn about it, of course I couldn’t use medical language as a doctor because it might intimidate the audience and loose their interest watching my videos. I’m trying not to be serious, that’s why I enjoy creating videos to grab their attention and use everything that I’ve learned in communication such as acting, directing and sometimes I do use of skit and writing my own script, so basically I use my skills in communication and shared my knowledge that I’ve learned in Med school.”
